Nova Sultani is an architecture company that was founded by Abdullah Gürer and Mehmet Serdar Koca, who have had more than 20 years of professional experience, in order to combine knowledge and expertise with young and dynamic spirit.
Abdullah Gürer with his own company Sultani Architecture and Mehmet Serdar Koca with his own company Nova Architecture had both accomplished successful projects over the years. However, in order to follow the industry’s growth faster and closer and to form a synergy from different points of views, they have decided to merge their companies and founded Nova Sultani with a goal to create projects with a bigger scale.
Its goal is to create works of art that goes beyond time without falling apart from “the recent”.
Nova Sultani is defining its uniqueness by creating shopping mall projects primarly and in addition to Office, residence and hotel, the company aims to bring the “old” and “new” together with its mosque projects.
With the consciousness of architecture being a social art form and without forgetting our responsibility to the nature, it is Nova Sultani Architecture’s philosophy to create cultural works of art by approaching the physical and historical environment with respect.
Nova Sultani for which having a young and creative team has been an identiy is working with a researcher spirit following the innovations. Its goal is to create works of art that goes beyond time without falling apart from “the recent”.
In addition to the projects within Turkey, Nova Sultani Architecture is creating architectural solutions for developing countries as well. Also, the company is closely wathcing the new trends in the world of architecture by forming business partnerships with world-known architecture companies, which provides Nova Sultani to renew and develop itself constantly.
Abdullah Gürer
Managing Partner
Abdullah Gurer was born in 1969, in Istanbul. He graduated from Galatasaray High School at 1988. He started college in Istanbul Technical University Architecture Faculty after high school, at 1988 and graduated at 1992 as architect. He continued to his master study at ITU and graduated at 1996.
He started his career as an architect at 1992 and he aimed to work in projects of great variety.
He established his own company as “Sultani Architecture” in 2007 and he had many concept design& application projects worldwide.
He became partners with Nova Architecture in 2012, aiming to grow his company in architecture field and established Nova Sultani Architecture together. He is currently continuing his career as a managing partner; involving in large scale projects such as shopping malls, offices, hotels, residences and religious buildings.
Mehmet Serdar Koca
Managing Partner
1978 İstanbul’da doğdu. 1997 Lisans öğrenimine devam ederken Aslıhan Ekitmen Mimarlık Bürosu’nda çalışmaya başladı.
2000 İTÜ Mimarlık Fakültesi’nden mezun oldu. 2002 Boston Northeastern Üniversitesinde yüksek lisans programını tamamladı. Royal Design Mimarlık firmasında çalışmaya başladı. 2004 Watertown Savings Bank Projesi ile Massachusetts-AIA tarafından Preservation ödülünü aldı.
2006 Türkiye’ye dönerek Idemim A.Ş.’de yönetici ortak olarak çalışmaya başladı. Bu firmada perakende sektörüne yönelik birçok projeye imza attı. BG Store ve Chakra mağazalarının Konsept Projelerini oluşturdu ve tüm Türkiye mağazalarının projelendirme ve yapımını yürüttü. Mudo, İpekyol, Machka, Twist,Starbucks, Mado gibi birçok markanın mağaza uygulama işlerini yaptı.
2009 Nova Mimarlık’ı kurdu. Özellikle Alışveriş Merkezi projeleri olmak üzere ofis ve özel konut projeleri üzerine yoğunlaştı. Başta Turkmall ve Cenay Grup olmak üzere, Rakeen, Günay inşaat, DIA holding gibi birçok büyük firmanın AVM ve Ofis projelerine imza attı.
2012 Sektörde büyümek adına Turkmall Sultani ile güçlerini birleştirerek Nova Sultani Mimarlık’ı kurdu. Yönetici ortak olduğu bu büroda alışveriş merkezi, ofis, otel, konut, kültür merkezi ve camii konularında projeler üretmeye devam etmektedir.
